Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life: Terry Jones

[Revisit Review]

When it's at its best, Terry Jones' Monty Python's The Meaning of Life contains some of the crème de la crème of what is arguably the most influential and innovative comedic troupe of modern history. The Crimson Permanent Assurance, "Every Sperm is Sacred," Mr. Creosote, and Graham Chapman's execution via a pack of naked women are damn near comedic perfection. But, alas, there are parts of the film that simply aren't as good. I wouldn't go so far as to say that any of the segments failed, but some of them definitely overstayed their welcome, such as the tiger costume sketch, Conversational Philosophy, and the surrealist "Find the Fish."
